Mrs. Yuriko Kawamura, Founder

Mrs. Yuriko Kawamura was born in 1986 at Itami City, Hyugo district in Japan. Her second daughter Ms. Naoko Kawamura once became physically ill and gradually became powerless to walk. Although she was mentally depressed, with the help and love of many kind friends, she overcame the depression and completed education in social welfare from University. People’s love helped her cross the path. Inspired by that love, she encouraged her mother Mrs. Yuriko Kawamura to establish International Angel Association in Japan in 1982.

Feeling compassion for the children of Bangladesh, she started the activities of International Angel Association in Bangladesh in 1986. The organization has been conducting various activities for the development of human resource of Bangladesh. Shishu Sadan (Angel Home), Students’ Help Program, Agricultural Training, Handicraft Training, Health Care Center, Women Education Program, Sanitation Program & School Building are the running project of International Angel Association till now.

Through her tireless efforts, many students in Bangladesh have got the opportunity to study with the support of International Angel Association. Many children brought up in Shishu Sadan have been able to become established in the society after completing their studies. Mrs. Yuriko Kawamura passed away on 23 November, 2004 at the age of 77 years.

The people of Bangladesh will forever remember Mrs. Yuriko Kawamura with gratitude for her various activities for the development of human resources of Bangladesh.

The International Angel Association was established in Japan under the slogan “Love over the world” It is a voluntary Organization which serves for humanity, peace and friendship. The Organization working in Bangladesh since 1986 to rehabilitated the poor orphan, Health care and Education support to rural area.

It gives me the immense pleasure to express my feeling on the occasion of 36th Anniversary of the International Angel Association which is a voluntary organization of Japan. The relation between Japan and Bangladesh has always been cordial and friendly. Japan has been the most important development partner of Bangladesh since its independence. International Angel Association has played an important role in the Socio-economic upliftment of the country.

I take this opportunity to convey my felicitation to all members of  International Angel Association. I am sure by their work they will contribute more to strengthening of friendly relation between the people of Japan and Bangladesh in the years to come.

I wish to express my heartfelt congratulations to the International Angel Association for the 36th anniversary of its field activities in Bangladesh. I would like to express my sincere respect to all its staff members and supporters for their unrelenting efforts in a wide range of fields.

I am delighted to see successful activities of the International Angel Association, such as the Children’s Care Center, Student Support Program, Women’s Education program, School Construction Program, Sanitation Program, and so on. It is noteworthy that your activities in Bangladesh have been providing a lot of opportunities in education, healthcare, and agricultural fields and we hope for your continued success. 

Japan and Bangladesh have been time-tested friends since the latter’s independence, and the year 2022 will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. We would like to opportunity to further deepen our relationship.

The International Angel Association has enhanced the grass-roots level contacts between Japan and Bangladesh for 36 years through its activities here in Bangladesh. I hope it will continue to play an invaluable role not only as an organization of development cooperation, but also as a bridge between the peoples of Japan and Bangladesh.

I hope the commendable activities of the International Angel Association will flourish in the upcoming years. Congratulations again and wish you all the best for the further success as one of the leading Japanese NGOs.
